I remember meeting Paul for the first time in the mid 1980s. He was campaigning against an injustice to one of his close friends. I remember him on marches against section 28, but my strongest memory was him and his life long friend Sue on the Streets of Burnley in 1993 protesting against the Nazi BMP. Paul cared for others. Is supported me when I needed help and guided me into politics. The LGBT movement has lost one of its strongest fighters. I knew him for over 20 years not long enough. Peter Gill
