I was idly googling Paul's name in the hope of inviting him to my birthday party this year, when I found this sad news. I haven't seen Paul for a very long time; but he was a joyful character who enlivened my days teaching is Lewisham in the eighties. It was a delight and an education to know him, and the memory of his enthusiasm is bringing a smile to my face as I write this.. Bye, Paul, and thanks!!
