Ever since I heard that Paul had died, I've been trying to find words to express my feelings. I didn't know Paul all that well, I first met him when he came as a speaker to a History Month event I set up that first year. I was immediately blown away by his energy, enthusiasm, knowledge and wit. So I got him to speak at several other events. His knack of making some incredibly important points in a truly accessible way has impressed every one of my collegues who was able to see him speak, LGBT and hetereosexual alike. Despite having known him only a short time, I find myself deeply saddened by his loss - I wish I'd met him a lot earlier.
