We thought you all might like to know that we sent this to Paul a couple of months ago when he was in hospital To Paul From the Schools Out and LGBT History Month committee We wanted to express our thoughts for you at this difficult time and send you an expression of our appreciation Thanks for al the time you have spent on all this vital work Thanks for being a beam of light illuminating the dark ignorance of homophobia and transphobia Thanks for holding the keys of this work and handing them onto so many people and thanks for being as sharp as you are at cutting out the crap And for all the words you have written over the years Hence we present you with a watch A key chain with a torch a penknife and a pen may they support you in your work and bring a smile to your lips and remind you that you are loved and we wish you all the time you need to get better so that you can, when you are ready resume your usual self.
